Bearsden District Rifle & Pistol Club

  • Home Page

Welcome to the BDRPC website.  We hope that you find this site useful.  If you are looking for shooting resources we aim to collect together everything online that our membership uses and if you are wanting to join then we hope that this site will provide you with the information and motivation to get shooting.

Bearsden District Rifle & Pistol Club was formed as the Bearsden District Home Guard Rifle Club in 1945 for the promotion of Target Shooting and has been in continuous existence since then. The range was opened on its present site in 1947 but was extensively re-built in the 1980s.

  • Facebook Page

We have a Facebook Page where we also update competition results and share general club information.

Please click on the Facebook icon to open a new webpage to our Facebook Page.

  • How to Join

Potential members who do not know any of the members should approach the Secretary (best by e-mail) who will supply the necessary details.

Training in safe handling of firearms and the basics of accurate shooting are then taught over the next 6 visits.  With this successfully completed the entrant can continue shooting and the application is reviewed by the Club Council at the next quarterly meeting. The Council if satisfied, will then grant Probationary Member status. The Probationary period is normally six months and following a further review leads to Full Membership
